On April 22, the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary will be offering free admission in celebration of Earth Day! In addition to walking the trails, visitors also can use the iNaturalist app to record their observations of plants and animals they see. Entries will be included in the MSU Science Festival BioBlitz.
What is a BioBlitz? It’s a community effort to identify plants and animals, helping to document the biodiversity of the Sanctuary grounds. This is a self-guided event that can be your personal, family or group challenge.
The Sanctuary will be open on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, during normal business hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
