Do you love nature themed stories?  We do, and that’s why we’ve created an experience called Storybook Walk. Each month, we will display pages from a new book for visitors to read as they explore along our accessible ¾ mile Paved Path.

Information details for Storybook Walk:

  • Book Title for October: Owl Babies by Martin Waddell
  • Book Summary:Owl Babies is a story about 3 baby owls who awake one night to find that there mother is not there, leaving them questioning what she could be doing and when will she come home.  This gentle story beautifully reassures young children that their mommy will always return. It’s a perfect opportunity to bond over a story that echoes the comforting love we all cherish.
  • Audience: Family
  • Reading Age: 3-6 years
  • Language: English

When you’re done with the storybook, don’t forget to check-out our Sanctuary Overlook where you’ll discover the importance of insects and Dung Beetles in Michigan.

FREE to members, regular admission fee for non-members.

Accessible throughout the month during normal business hours.
Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Questions? Please call (269) 671-2510 or email birdsanctuary@kbs.msu.edu.
