What to expect
Arrive anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to uncover answers to questions about birds, animal tracks, winter survival and more. The experience is self-guided, free, and appropriate for people of all ages.
The scavenger hunt could take around 30 minutes to complete, or longer depending on your family’s pace. All groups that complete the scavenger hunt will be entered to win a free family membership to the Sanctuary.
In addition to the scavenger hunt, activity stations along the Sanctuary trails will be open from noon to 2 p.m. Stations will include:
- Science – oil and water investigation
- Crafts – Make your own bird feeder to take home
- Storytime – Carrie Dunn, children’s librarian at the Richland Community Library will host a storytime at 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.
Admission is free for Sanctuary members and the cost of regular admission for non-members: $6/adults, $5/seniors and students, $4/children ages 2-17. No registration is required for the scavenger hunt. Be sure to dress for the weather!
