Grab your morning beverage and join us to learn more about five bird species! Each session we’ll highlight birds that you can find in our SW Michigan backyards, woods, and waters this time of year.
Our guest Elliot Nelson will be highlighting a few of Michigan’s 2021 highlighted sightings from the eBirdMI Rare Bird Alert, including:
- Spoonbill
- Little blue Heron
- Cattle Egret
- Ash-throated Flycatcher
- Royal Tern
Elliot Nelson is a lifelong birder who started birding at 6 years old with his Mother. Elliot continues his passion for birding by sharing it with schools, and adult education programs through his work with Michigan Sea Grant and to help support birding tourism and festivals across Michigan.
There is no fee for this online program but registration is required to receive a secure link to the zoom meeting. Your hosts are educators: Lisa Duke and Misty Klotz from Kellogg Biological Station and Kellogg Bird Sanctuary. Zoom in and participate by sharing your recent bird sightings and asking questions!
