Welcome 2026 Summer Interns!

Margaret Greene kneeling with a sedated rhinosarus

Margaret Greene is a burgeoning Wildlife Ecologist with a proclivity towards our fanged and taloned friends. With a vested interest in applied research. She is the 2026 Avian Care Intern here at the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary. She can be seen attending to the sanctuary avian’s wants and needs. And getting into staring contests with Toby, our ambassadorial Red-tailed Hawk. In her free time, Maggie will often be drawing, reading, kickboxing or following deer trails into the woods.

Dakarai Rogers standing in front of a green, leafy tree

Dakarai Rogers is a student at Michigan State University with a strong interest in wildlife, conservation, and the outdoors. He is the 2026 Visitor Experience intern for the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary.  He enjoys learning about animals, plants, and natural ecosystems while developing his knowledge of environmental stewardship. In his free time, Dakarai enjoys sports, staying active, and exploring new opportunities to connect people with nature and the environment.
