What to expect:

Each month the Bird Sanctuary introduces a new theme connected to seasonal changes that children can observe and experience. Visit the Overlook building’s craft area, ideal for creating art projects, while the dramatic play section allows children to act out various scenarios and stories related to our monthly theme. Additionally, there are plenty of books and games for them to enjoy.

Theme for November: Migration

Highlighted Activities: 

• Come investigate the different kinds of migration! Learn about the differences between migration, hibernation, and adaptation!
• Craft: Choose from a variety of bird coloring pages to decorate and take home.
• Dramatic Play: Dress-up in our costume wings and pretend to migrate like a bird or monarch! Or perhaps curl up in our tent and pretend to be a hibernating animal!

Audience: Designed for children ages 3 to 6 years of age

• No registration required
• Cost:  Members: Free
               Non-members: General Admission, $7/adults, $6/seniors and students, $5/children ages 2-17
