Do you love nature themed stories?  We do, and that’s why we’ve created an experience called Storybook Walk. Each month, we will display pages from a new book for visitors to read as they explore along our accessible ¾ mile Paved Path.

Information details for Storybook Walk:

  • Book Title for November: How Do Birds Find Their Way by Roma Gans
  • Book Summary:Birds don’t need maps! Each year many species of birds migrate between their summer and winter homes, with some traveling vast distances. How do they know which way to fly? Why don’t they get lost? This book introduces early elementary age readers to scientific thinking, including the use of simple charts and graphics in helping young minds learn some of the ideas scientists believe might explain the mystery of migration navigation.
  • Audience: Family
  • Reading Age: 3-6 years
  • Language: English

Don’t forget to stop by the Sanctuary Overlook after you finish Storybook Walk to learn more about Migration.

FREE to members, regular admission fee for non-members.

Accessible throughout the month during normal business hours.
Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Questions? Please call (269) 671-2510 or email birdsanctuary@kbs.msu.edu.
