General Admission Rates

Sanctuary memberships are also available. Membership covers one-year admission to the Sanctuary, 10% off items from the Sanctuary’s Resource Center, reduced rates for Sanctuary programs and events, and a subscription to our electronic newsletter.

Hours of Operation

The W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary will be closed for winter break from December 22, 2025 through January 2, 2026.  We will see you in the new year on January 3rd!

Grounds are available to visitors during the hours of:

• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday
• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays
• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday
• 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
• 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday
• Closed Monday
• Closed Tuesday

All of the Sanctuary grounds will be closed for the following holidays:  Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day. 

Winter hours are in effect from Thanksgiving to the first weekend of March. Extended summer hours are in effect March to Thanksgiving.

 Resource Center Hours:

The Resource Center closes 30 minutes before the grounds close.

Corn Feeding:

In response to updated guidelines from the USDA (Animal Welfare Act) that require monitoring by staff for any feeding of wildlife, the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary must coordinate public feeding of our waterfowl. Listed below are the times corn will be available for purchase to help plan your visits! Purchase your tickets at the Resource Center and redeem at the feeding station near the lake shore.
