Grab your morning beverage and join us for Birds and Coffee Chat to learn more about birding and bird species! Each month, we highlight a bird-related topic or profile birds that you can find in our southwest Michigan backyards, woods, and waters.

This online program is free but requires registration to receive a secure link for the zoom meeting. Join hosts Lisa Duke and Misty Klotz, from the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary and Kellogg Biological Station to share recent bird sightings and ask questions.

Monthly topic:
January 13- Mindfulness and Birding

Join Mindful Outdoor Guide and local birder Seth Chapman for an introduction to mindfulness and bird watching. During this Birds and Coffee Chat, Seth will share how birding, nature discovery, and mindfulness go hand in hand, enhancing both our birding experience and our overall well-being.

Seth’s lifelong passion for birds began when he started his life list at the age of 10. As the founder of Birds with Seth, his goal is to facilitate self-discovery through the joy of birding via various outdoor education opportunities centered around birds and wellness. He is active in various conservation efforts including volunteering for bird banding at the Kalamazoo Nature Center and participating in research projects throughout southwest Michigan.
