Celebrate 100 years of the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary and the remarkable return of the Trumpeter Swan to Michigan!

Discover how the Sanctuary played a role in bringing these magnificent birds back to the state. Learn about Joe Johnson’s pioneering work to reintroduce Trumpeter Swans to Michigan, the partnerships and conservation efforts that helped their populations flourish across the Midwest, and where these incredible birds stand today.

We’ll gather in the Auditorium for a presentation, then head outside along the paved path to see and hear Trumpeter Swans in person.

Come celebrate a century of conservation, education, and a remarkable Michigan success story!
