What to expect:

Each month the Bird Sanctuary introduces a new theme connected to seasonal changes that children can observe and experience. Visit the Overlook building’s craft area, ideal for creating art projects, while the dramatic play section allows children to act out various scenarios and stories related to our monthly theme. Additionally, there are plenty of books and games for them to enjoy.

Theme for October : Take A Wing! Learn about Feathers!

Highlighted Activities: 

• Learn about how birds soar!
• Craft: Design your own feather pattern!
• Dramatic Play: Pretend to be a bird with our wing costumes and play some bird games.
• Bonus: In the Resource Center you can get a close up look at a feather using a microscope!

Audience: Designed for children ages 3 to 6 years of age

• No registration required
• Cost:  Members: Free
               Non-members: General Admission, $7/adults, $6/seniors and students, $5/children ages 2-17
